TODAY WE WERE JUST PLAIN LUCKY. MR GAB OUR GRANDSON TJ AND I HAD WENT OUT TO BREAKFAST. WE WERE ON OUR WAY HOME. IN FACT WE WERE JUST 4 BLOCKS FROM HOME. THE LIGHT WAS GREEN MY WAY. AS WE APPROACHED THE INTERSECTION WE NOTICED THAT A WHITE VAN WAS MOVING VERY FAST TOWARDS THE INTERSECTION WITH NO INTENT AT STOPPING. I HIT THE HORN AND THE BREAKS SLID OVER TO RIGHT LANE TO MISS BEING HIT. AS SHE CAME AROUND THE CORNER MR GAB NOTICED THAT SHE WASN'T EVEN LOOKING UP AT ALL SHE WAS LOOKING DOWN AT HER CELL PHONE. AND GOING WAY OVER THE SPEED LIMIT.
THEN WE NOTICED SHE WAS FROM ANOTHER COUNTRY AS SHE WAS WEARING THE BLACK SCARF(VEIL) THOSE WOMEN WEAR. AS SHE PASSED AND WE WERE SAFE WE COULDN'T BELIEVE IT. FIRST SHE WOULD HAVE HIT US IF WE HAD PROCEEDED THOUGH THE INTERSECTION SECOND SHE ALMOST HIT US COMING AROUND THE CORNER IN HER LEFT TURN AS SHE TOOK OUR LANE. WE WERE JUST DAMN LUCKY TODAY.
IT WOULD HAVE BEEN A VERY BAD ACCIDENT. ONE WE MIGHT NOT HAVE WALKED AWAY FROM.

I am happy to hear you dodged that one.
It would have been very bad if you had not been paying attention.
She may not have been from another country because of her veil but you have to ask yourself, is it safe to drive with one of those things on obscuring your vision, not that it would matter in this case because she was to busy looking down at her feet to see if she had her shoes on the right foot.
All that aside, one of my pet peeves is people who drive with dark sunglasses on in the middle of the night.
WTF is that?
It would be safer driving with Stevie Wonder in rush hour traffic than some of these people out there.
