LOL.......
I went out today and bought one of those pay as you go phones for my oldest grandson. It's really more for my peace of mind than anything but daughter thinks he's to irresponsible (and he is somewhat) And that he's to young. But the point of the matter is he should be able to handle one. It has so many things on it it's almost like my phone I got from verizon. He can text he can take pics he can connect to internet he can play games! EXCEPT grandpa limited him to just being able to call his mom, us, his big and his coach! NO INTERNET NO GAMES AND NO PICTURES!!!!! I know a boring phone. But until he can actually pay for his own minutes or get his own contract he gets what he gets and thats limited! Now when he goes to the library and ne needs a ride home he can call me instead of borring a friends phone or asking the librarian if he can call his grandma. Or if he forgets his instrument he can call me. BUT NO FRIENDS! just us. Is that being to strict? I mean after all he's only 12. Oh well, we bought it she'll have to get over it. Im sure you all will hear her once she gets home and finds out. which will be in about 15 mins. I better go and hide!

I understand why you would do it. There are some big pluses for sure. But I just do not know. I guess as long as he only uses it as you say but I just do not know.
Here, let me cover you up under this here quilt. I hope you do not have a hot flash or anything...
Gab? I think she went that away...
LOL @ barman!
Gab I think a twelve year old can show responsibility with a cell.
I think every twelve year old in Cali. has a cell so maybe it is just normal to me.
thanks sis,
now your 12 yr old niece is going to want hers back and i cant afford it. to expensive.
even for what little she did use it with all the hidden costs.
i hope she doesnt read your blog.
In todays world a phone is important but kids are dozy when it comes to how much they are using and before you know it there are no minutes left on the phone.
